Baptism
The community of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church welcomes the opportunity to bring your child into the Christian community through baptism!
Our traditional process of baptism preparation is for parents and godparents of infants and younger children.
For traditional baptism, we will need your help before a baptism date can be set. Please provide us with the following:
- a copy of the child’s birth certificate;
- a completed baptismal registration form;
- completed godparent/sponsor certificates
Please note when scheduling a baptism, priority is given to families who have been registered active parishioners for 6 months or longer.
More detailed information about the registration and godparent certification process is provided when you contact us.
When we receive the birth certificate, registration form and godparents certificates, we can schedule parents and godparents for a baptismal preparation class, and schedule the baptism.
We want everything to go smoothly for your child’s baptism; please do not sign up for baptism preparation classes or set a baptism date until we have the required paperwork in our office.
Another process to prepare for baptism is the Baptismal Catechumenate for older children, teens and adults. The baptismal catechumenate is only for persons who have never been baptized in any faith.
Please contact the Parish Office for more information about baptism at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
