Anointing of the Sick

The priest administers the Sacrament of the Sick. This sacrament is no longer a sacrament for the dead, but one for the living. The sacrament is administered even if there is no danger of death. The sacrament may be given under the following circumstances: to the elderly feeling the effects of old age, or those in constant poor health, no matter what age, to those going into the hospital or already in the hospital, and to the mentally ill. The sacrament may be received more than once during a particular illness.
